Kelly O’Mara is the former editor-in-chief of Triathlete Magazine. She left in mid-2022 to launch my own triathlon newsletter, Triathlonish—which aims to cover triathlon and endurance sports with the same news and analysis mainstream sports get, but without the tendency towards douchebaggery.

While at Triathlete, she won the award for outstanding media contribution for women in triathlon. She also launched a number of new initiatives for the company, including a ground-breaking partnership with USA Triathlon, a successful membership program, an inclusive digital community, and a profitable virtual event.
In addition to working behind-the-scenes in production, organizing, and media for a number of outlets and organizations, she been a pro triathlete (on and off) since picking up the sport in college at UC Berkeley. She hastried nearly every one of our sports you can try: Spartan Race, Swimrun, Crossfit, running on anything you can run on, all forms of biking, swimming, cross-country skiing, and random adventures with friends.
