Add or subtract workouts

The MOTTIV app is one of the only apps on the market that allows athletes to fully customize their training plan to suit their life schedule.
You can add or subtract workouts from your schedule at any time, even in the middle of a training plan.
Remember, the number of workouts per week that you choose will directly impact the type of finish you'll have in your race(s). The slider will give you an indication of how the number of hours you've chosen per week will translate into your race finish. See below for an explanation of what each finish goal means.
To change the number of workouts you are assigned per week:
- Click "SCHEDULE" in the app
- Click "CHANGE HOURS"
- Move the slider back and forth to set the number of hours per week you can spend on training.
- While you're on the slider screen, you can arrange your training week in a way that suits you. Or you can leave it if you're satisfied.
- Click "UPDATE TRAINING PLAN" to save your changes.
- It may take a moment for the app to generate your new plan.
NOTE: If you want to add a workout that isn't already in your schedule, click any one of the blue + symbols on the "SCHEDULE" page, and you'll see a dropdown menu which offers extra workouts you can add from each discipline. (If a workout is greyed-out, that means it's not available.) Always remember to click "Update Training Plan" to save your changes, so a new plan can be generated.
FINISH, FINISH STRONG, HEADING FOR THE PODIUM:
- Finishing Will Be Hard:
If you have too few training hours in a week, then you won't be training enough to even finish the race distance you've chosen. Consider increasing the number of workouts, or perhaps you want to choose a shorter distance of race so you can train less. - I Want To Cross The Finish Line:
This means you are training to be able to simply finish the race. This is the minimum amount of training you would have to do to finish your race distance of choice. First-time athletes are often just trying to finish. This is also what people choose if they have very little time to train but still want to participate in races. - I Want To Finish Feeling Strong:
People who want to finish strong hope to finish at least in the middle of the pack. They want to feel fit, confident, and good on the course, not struggling or pulling themselves along. Finishing strong requires more training time than just finishing. - Heading For The Podium:
This is for people looking to
- Notch personal best race times,
- Qualify for World Championship races,
- Win their age group in a race.
(Podium/Competitive finishes typically take the maximum amount of training per week, up to two workouts per day, every day of the week.)
