I have limited pool time, what do I do?

Whether it's due to schedule issues or indoor pool rules, sometimes people have limited time to do their swim training.
Always do as much of each swim workout as you can. Remember, the more often you cut swims short, the less prepared you'll be for your race.
If you do have to trim down a swim workout, cut from the bottom.
So, for example, if there's a swim workout with three main swim sets, ideally you'll do all three sets. (That's the intent of the workout.) However, if you have to drop some parts of your workout due to time constraints, then first drop set #3, then set #2. But do not cut the warm-up or the drills, those are equally important as the endurance swimming portions.
To maximize the time you have at the pool, make sure you're being efficient and not wasting time between sets. If your swim requires toys (snorkel, band, pull buoy, etc.), make sure they're easy to access before you start.
There is no replacement for actual swimming with other exercises, so try to get as much pool time as you possibly can.
