My Swim Workouts Aren't Working On My Watch
Updated on:

Unlike the bike and run workouts on MOTTIV, at this time, our swim workouts are not "structured". This means that step-by-step instructions for your swim will not be transmitted to your device. You get specific instructions for your bike and run workouts sent to your watch or bike computer because those workouts are "structured".
Your swim workouts will only be sent to your device as a freestyle swim in one big block of time. So, although you'll be able to read the workout instructions, your watch won't prompt you with what's coming next. (Generally, we're aware that athletes are not stopping to look at their watch in the middle of a swim workout.)
Your watch CAN record your total elapsed swim time, which will then show up in your stats on MOTTIV (and your workout will be auto-completed for you). To fully connect MOTTIV to your devices, read this Help Center article.
Because the workout is not structured, if you start your watch and, for example, press the LAP button in the middle, it's likely going to stop recording the workout at that moment (and as such, your total swim time will be incorrect in your stats).
